TRENNSO ZZS - Zig-Zag Air Separator

Separation technology from the German company TRENNSO.

The separated material is fed directly into the ZZS zig-zag separator by means of a rotary valve and distributed across the entire cross-section of the separator channel. The sorting air generated by the blower flows through the separator from bottom to top, allowing the bulk material to slide down and be separated.

The product must pass through the air stream at each bend of the separator channel and then rebound from the opposite wall of the separator. The higher-density material falls down the separator channel under the influence of gravity. The light fraction is removed by the upward-directed air stream.

The fan air speed is adjusted by a frequency converter. For maintenance and service work, the zig-zag separator has service doors on both sides, and the rotary valves are equipped with service access.

The extracted air is cleaned by a lower filter unit or a cyclone separator.
