Activity description
CBIMO is a partner for manufacturers in the
packaging, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and household
chemicals industries. We have equipment for the processes and unit
operations used in production lines in the packaging
industry and in the production of various bioimmobilisation systems, including:
Plastics processing on a quarter-technical scale (compounding – twin-screw extruder, blown film coextrusion with
up to 3 extruders (≤ 5 layers, ABCBA), cast
flat film extrusion and extrusion coating on paper or fabric with up to 3
extruders (≤ 5 layers, ABCBA), thermoforming)
Surface modification of packaging (preparation of
emulsions and dispersions for surface modification of films, paper and board
(water and oil resistance), measurement of viscosity, rheological properties and stability
of film-forming emulsions/dispersions, coating of films/paper with polymer compositions,
printing on films and paper (corona treatment))
Testing of material properties (oxygen / water vapour
transmission rate tests (accredited testing) – testing
accredited by PCA under No. 1450, testing of mechanical properties and heat sealability,
leak testing and MAP packaging, microscopic analysis (optical, FTIR,
SEM), spectroscopic analysis (UV-VIS, Raman, FTIR), surface properties
(contact angle), colorimetric and haze measurements, liquid chromatography
HPLC – GPC, testing of antimicrobial properties, ageing tests –
temperature, humidity and UV-VIS irradiation
- selection of suitable materials and packaging for packaged
products
- packaging–food product interaction
- design and selection of customised
bioimmobilisation systems
