Consorzio Ecopolietilene

Consorzio Ecopolietilene, based in Milan (Italy), is an autonomous non-profit system recognised by the Italian Ministry of the Environment. It organises the collection, recovery and recycling of waste from polyethylene goods.

The consortium works with:

• producers of polyethylene goods
• importers
• distributors
• recyclers

It provides assistance and advice to companies on the applicable regulations and on the management of polyethylene waste, and promotes correct sorting of the material by consumers. Ecopolietilene is part of the Sistema Ecolight, which also includes consortia for electrical and electronic waste and batteries, textiles and mattresses.
