We also offer films from established manufacturers, with reel widths from 50 mm, short lead times, delivery to the customer and competitive prices. Two-side heat-sealable biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film is intended for use as a packaging material that can be printed and laminated, e.g. flexographic or rotogravure printing, lamination, automatic packaging machines, bottle labels, packaging of confectionery (e.g. biscuits, gingerbread, bars, wafers), overwrapping of boxes (e.g. tea, coffee, cosmetics, CDs, DVDs), haberdashery, clothing (e.g. shirts, underwear), pasta, crisps, chips, bread, etc. Oriented polypropylene film has good sealability, high transparency, gloss and good mechanical properties, as well as low permeability to water vapour and aromas. It also has slip and anti-block properties that facilitate processing on automatic packaging machines. As standard, it is supplied as a one-side treated film (treated on the outer side of the reel). The outer heat-sealable layers allow the film to be sealed below the melting point of polypropylene.
