Nihot Recycling Technology B.V. from Amsterdam (Netherlands) designs and builds air separation equipment for the waste and recycling industry. Founded in 1945, the company first made air ducts for small wood-fired furnaces and has concentrated solely on recycling since the 1980s. In 2013 it joined the Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) family of companies.

The separators use controlled air to split material by density and volume into light and heavy fractions. Typical applications include plastics and packaging sorting, paper recovery, RDF preparation, and the processing of household, commercial and building waste.
