Novamont S.p.A.

Novamont S.p.A., headquartered in Novara (Italy) and part of the Versalis (Eni) group, develops and produces bioplastics, bioproducts and biochemicals made wholly or partly from plant-based raw materials. The company is a Benefit Corporation and holds B Corporation certification.

Product families:

• Mater-Bi, biodegradable and compostable bioplastics based on proprietary technologies using starches and vegetable oils
• Matrol-Bi, readily biodegradable lubricants for agricultural, industrial, marine and energy applications
• Celus-Bi, biodegradable ingredients for cosmetics
• biochemicals of full or partial renewable origin

Mater-Bi grades can be converted with common plastics processes such as blown and cast film extrusion, extrusion and thermoforming, and injection moulding. The material is produced in an integrated supply chain based on three Italian production sites converted into biorefineries.
