Activity description
Przedsiębiorstwo Techniczno-Handlowe Pestar has been operating since 1991. In 2013 the company extended its activities to plastic waste processing, focusing on engineering plastic regrinds. In 2014 it implemented an EU-funded project that enabled it to develop its regrind and regranulate production.
The company specialises in processing polyolefin waste, such as polypropylene and polyethylene, as well as polystyrene. The plant's core activity is the production of regrinds and regranulates from post-consumer and post-industrial waste. Pestar also processes expanded polystyrene (EPS) waste, ensuring that it is fully recycled and helping companies meet their waste management obligations.
We accept EPS waste with codes 15 01 02 and 17 06 04. We recycle:
- post-industrial EPS used as packaging for household appliances, consumer electronics and computers
- food-grade EPS used in boxes and containers for fruit, mushrooms and fish, and for seedlings
- construction EPS from offcuts and post-production waste, including compacted dust
The company is carrying out the project "Rozbudowa Systemu Selektywnej Zbiórki Odpadów Styropianu" (Expansion of the Selective Collection System for EPS Waste), co-financed by the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (WFOŚ) in Gdańsk.
