Safe In.Tec. s.r.l.

Safe In.Tec. s.r.l. grew out of the 40-year waste recovery experience of the family business La Carpia Michele. At its site in Pisticci Scalo (Matera, Italy), which covers 36,000 square metres including 12,000 under roof, the company treats industrial and post-consumer plastic scrap with a capacity of about 30,000 tonnes per year.

Activities:

• initial sorting by separation, screening and metal detection
• granulation and regeneration of plastics
• processing of difficult fractions such as bottles, mixed rigid plastics, crates, twine, HD netting, raffia and strapping
• recovery of non-hazardous special waste such as paper and cardboard, glass, iron and wood by sorting and volume reduction

The company focuses on fractions that are hard to recycle and on turning plastic scrap into secondary raw material.
