Activity description
STEINERT GmbH is a family-owned company from Cologne, Germany. Its history goes back to 1889, when founder Ferdinand Steinert began using magnetism to recover iron from slag and debris. The company has about 550 employees, an annual turnover of around 200 million euros and subsidiaries in Germany, Australia, Brazil and the USA, plus around 50 sales partnerships and joint ventures.

In plastics recycling, UniSort machines combine hyperspectral NIR with colour data, sort black plastics by polymer type and separate film materials such as PE packaging. Test centres and start-up and optimisation services complete the offer.
