The history of ZEMAT Technology Group dates back to 1957, when the Zemat Electronic Machinery Plant (Zakład Maszyn Elektroniczny Zemat) started operating. The founder and driving force behind the company's development, and for many years the head of Zemat in Łódź, was Zenon Matczak, a pioneer of Polish industrial electrical engineering, who in the mid-1950s, together with a group of students from Lodz University of Technology, built the first high-frequency generator in Poland.
Today, ZEMAT Technology Group is a Polish-American corporation and the only manufacturer and supplier on the Polish and Central European market of equipment using high-frequency (RF/HF) technology for polymer welding, packaging production, cold plasma generation, industrial heating and drying, wood moulding, etc.
