Zeropack S.r.l.
Italian developer of PHA-based biodegradable products for agriculture, from plant clips and mulch films to fresh produce packaging
Activity description
Zeropack S.r.l. from Turin (Italy) makes products for farming and horticulture that are meant as substitutes for fossil-based plastics. Everything is made from PHA, a bio-based polymer obtained by bacterial fermentation that biodegrades in soil, so items left in the field after use need no collection or disposal and no plastic remains behind.
The range covers:
- plant clips based on the IamNature® PHA material
- mulch films
- plant supports and other in-field products
- biodegradable packaging for fresh produce and agri-food products
The company combines compounding know-how with research and development work on PHA. Its plant clips hold a four-star bio-based certification from TÜV.
