AMI expo to combine compounding and recycling

The plastics compounding and recycling sectors will meet at Messe Frankfurt in Germany on 23-24 September 2026 for the AMI Compounding & Recycling Expo. The free-to-attend event is intended for technology suppliers, materials companies, recyclers, processors, brand owners and industry experts from across the plastics value chain. It combines an exhibition with a conference programme focused on the growing convergence of polymer compounding, recycling and circular economy initiatives. During the two-day event, visitors will be able to review technologies, materials and services, obtain technical and market information, and meet decision-makers from Europe and other regions.

More than 50 speakers in two conference theatres

The conference programme will feature more than 50 speakers across two free-to-attend theatres dedicated to compounding and recycling. Speakers will include representatives of Auto Recycling Netherlands, Benvic, Constantia Flexibles, Coveris, Delta Kunststoffe, Enneatech, EuMBC, Flexible Packaging Europe, Food Contact Center, Fraunhofer LBF, Holland Colours, Hubron, Ineos Inovyn, Invista, Lati, Lifocolor, Mayer Brown, Plastics Europe, Protan, Recycling Europe, Spiral TRC, The Compound Company and Wells Performance Materials.

Sessions will address recycling technologies, additive innovations, circular economy strategies, polymer performance and processing optimisation. The programme will also cover food-contact packaging, regulations including the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, PPWR, and the increasing use of recycled content in demanding applications.

Suppliers to present materials and processing technologies

The exhibition will include suppliers such as 3M, Aimplas, CPM, Econ, Entex, Farrel Pomini, Gamma Meccanica, Gneuss, Hosokawa Alpine, ICMA San Giorgio, Invista, J-Tec, JSW, LKAB Minerals, Maag, Maris, Mixaco, MPI Chemie, Netzsch, Orion Engineered Carbons, Plas Mec, Plastics App, Sachtleben, SI Group, Sun Chemical, Theysohn and X-Compound. Their presentations will cover materials, additives, processing equipment and recycling technologies.

The organisers expect participants to use the event for knowledge exchange, business development and cooperation across the value chain.

According to AMI, the expo is intended to support discussion of how sustainability requirements, regulation and changing customer expectations are affecting the plastics industry. It will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to assess technologies and market developments, identify potential areas of cooperation and discuss innovation in compounding and recycling.
