The assessment covers four areas: environment, sustainable procurement, ethics, and labour and human rights. Arburg improved its overall performance compared with the previous year. In the environmental category, its score rose from 89 points in 2025 to 93 points in 2026.

"The fact that we have satisfied the stringent criteria for the Ecovadis Gold Award for the fourth year running makes us proud and is the outcome of targeted efforts in the areas of production and resource efficiency, the circular economy and social responsibility," adds Managing Partner Juliane Hehl.
Assessment across four sustainability areas
Ecovadis is a sustainability platform for global supply chains. More than 175,000 companies can be assessed in the areas of environment, sustainable procurement, ethics, and labour and human rights. Arburg's result places the German family-owned company among the top five per cent of assessed businesses worldwide.
Validated climate targets and net zero by 2050
Since 2019, Arburg has grouped its sustainability initiatives under the arburgGREENworld programme. The programme includes measures intended to improve production and resource efficiency and support the circular economy.
As a European manufacturer of injection moulding machines, Arburg has also set validated climate targets in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company aims to reduce its total greenhouse gas emissions and has committed to achieving net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.
Arburg has calculated its Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) annually since 2021. Under the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the company received a "B" rating for its climate management in 2025. According to the company, this indicates above-average performance in climate protection, ecology and carbon dioxide emissions.
