Cold Jet announces the debut of the innovative TEC1200 system, the result of many years of work to improve dry ice cleaning technology. The new unit, whose name is derived from the "Thermally Enhanced Cleaning" process, combines the power of heated air with the brand’s proven solutions. This synergy makes it possible to radically increase the effectiveness and speed of removing even the most demanding contamination.

The TEC1200 unit heats compressed air to extremely high temperatures. It reaches the cleaning applicator through a separate, insulated hose routed parallel to the dry ice stream, which helps maintain the full integrity of the pellets. The hot air combines with the dry ice at the optimum moment inside the nozzle, giving the particles a velocity far exceeding the parameters of standard systems. This additional dynamics significantly increases the kinetic impact force of the pellets and their cleaning potential.

At the same time, the released heat effectively breaks the bonds holding contaminants on the surface. As a result, integrating the TEC1200 module with Cold Jet machines enables trouble-free removal of the thickest, most persistent deposits, as well as efficient stripping of highly resistant paint coatings from industrial substrates.

The original purpose of dry ice cleaning technology was to remove paint from aircraft skins. Previous solutions, however, did not always make it possible to achieve maximum performance in this demanding application. With the launch of the TEC1200, Cold Jet fully delivers on the historical promise made to the aviation industry and to all industrial sectors dealing with the most persistent contamination. The unit handles highly resistant paints, hardened adhesives and thick layers of corrosion without compromise. The new thermally enhanced process retains all the existing advantages of dry ice cleaning while offering unprecedented operating force. In practice, this means removing difficult contamination from surfaces up to 25 times faster compared with standard methods.

Until now, achieving similar results in industry required the use of aggressive chemical solvents, mechanical tools or abrasive blasting media. Traditional methods, however, involve time-consuming workplace preparation as well as burdensome cleaning and disposal of secondary waste. With the TEC1200 system, these compromises become a thing of the past, and the entire process becomes not only faster and more effective, but above all safer for the operator and the environment.

To ensure maximum operational flexibility, the TEC1200 enables precise adjustment of the generated heat level. The unit’s parameters can be precisely adapted to variables such as dry ice particle size, air pressure, media feed rate and the temperature sensitivity of the material being cleaned. A higher temperature ensures faster, more aggressive removal of resistant contamination, while lower settings allow heat-sensitive surfaces to be cleaned safely and thoroughly, completely eliminating the risk of damage.
