Evosys relocates central IT to certified data centre
Evosys has moved its central IT infrastructure to a certified data centre in Nuremberg. The project is intended to provide capacity for further digitalisation and the company's planned growth.
Evosys Laser GmbH has completed the relocation of its central IT infrastructure to a certified data centre in Nuremberg. The company decided on the move because the options for continuing and expanding IT operations at its own site were no longer sufficient to meet increasing requirements. The new location is intended to provide the capacity required to support further digitalisation and planned company growth.
Central servers, business applications and IT services are now operated in an environment designed for these requirements. The infrastructure includes a reliable power supply, air conditioning, controlled access and high-performance network connectivity. According to Evosys, the data centre meets recognised quality and security standards.
The company also reviewed and further developed its existing IT environment as part of the project. Migration took place in stages from the end of 2025 and was integrated into ongoing business operations. Cloud services and data centre infrastructure will continue to complement each other, providing a flexible basis for existing applications and new digital solutions.
Migration during ongoing operations
"Such a relocation is a demanding task, as IT must remain reliably available for business operations throughout. We had to plan each step carefully and align the transition well with the company's processes. That the migration has been successfully completed and our day-to-day business could continue is a strong achievement of the entire team," said Frank Brunnecker, managing director of Evosys Laser GmbH.
The relocation is also part of the company's long-term information security strategy. Evosys is currently preparing its information security management at the company site for ISO/IEC 27001 certification. The objective is to establish information security permanently within processes, organisational structures and technical infrastructure.
