Louis Krall has been appointed to the management board of Krall Kunststoff-Recycling GmbH with effect from 1 July. He will lead the family business alongside his father, company founder Markus Krall. The new division of responsibilities is intended to support generational succession and the company's further development.

Louis Krall will be responsible in particular for sales, procurement and customer development. Markus Krall will continue to focus on the automation of operational processes and the development of the company's strategy.

Born in 1995, Louis Krall joined the company in 2018 after completing his commercial apprenticeship and initially gained experience in the sales team. He was appointed Sales Manager in 2020 and granted power of attorney in 2021. Since early 2025, he has also served as an authorised signatory at the subsidiary Polymer Solutions GmbH.

Markus Krall commented: "My son Louis’s appointment to the management board of Krall Kunststoff-Recycling marks an important milestone in the company’s successful history. He has been involved in its development for eight years now, five of which as an authorised signatory. I am delighted that this step has been possible, as it secures the succession. His experience, his commitment and his in-depth knowledge of our processes provide the best possible foundation for leading the group of companies into a promising future."

Cooperation across the group

Louis Krall added: "My dual role as Managing Director of Krall Kunststoff-Recycling and authorised signatory of our subsidiary Polymer Solutions opens up excellent opportunities for me. I intend to seize these opportunities to foster collaboration within the group, establish forward-looking synergies, and introduce innovative recycling solutions that deliver tangible value to our customers."

Processing capacity and material focus

Krall Kunststoff-Recycling is a family-run business founded in early 1992. The company sorts and processes plastics by type to produce secondary raw materials that are returned to industrial production processes. Its activities focus on transparent plastics, including polycarbonate and polymethyl methacrylate, as well as engineering plastics and CD recycling.

The company operates across six halls with a total usable floor area of 12,000 square metres and relies entirely on solar power. With around 40 employees, two shredders and 10 granulators, it achieves an annual plastics throughput of approximately 8,000 tonnes.

Polymer Solutions, also based in Elsenfeld am Main, specialises in producing regranulates and compounds for customers from a range of industries.
