Plast 2029 scheduled for 15–18 May in Milan
The 21st Plast exhibition will take place on 15–18 May 2029 at Fiera Milano in Rho. The event will cover plastics and rubber processing machinery, raw materials and technological developments.
Promaplast has announced that the 21st edition of Plast will take place from 15 to 18 May 2029 at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho. The international exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries will return to a spring slot in the trade fair calendar. According to the organiser, the timing is intended to support exhibitors and visitors in planning investments and presenting technological developments across the sector, including processing machinery and next-generation raw materials. Plast serves as a platform for machinery and materials used in the manufacture of semi-finished and finished plastics and rubber products, as well as for establishing business relationships. Details of exhibitor registration, satellite shows, innovation initiatives and internationalisation projects are expected to be announced at a later stage.
Results of Plast 2026
The next event will follow Plast 2026, which took place amid geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty and exceeded the organiser's cautious pre-show forecasts. The exhibition recorded 35,000 attendances, with visitors from outside Italy representing 25% of the total and coming from 110 countries.
More than 1,000 exhibitors occupied 40,000 square metres of exhibition space. International companies accounted for 44% of all exhibitors. More than 350 selected foreign delegates participated in the incoming programme organised with Agenzia ICE, the Italian Trade & Investment Agency. According to the organiser, several sessions in the conference programme reached full capacity.

The return to May is a sign of continuity that the market has been asking for, and we are already working to make the next edition even richer in content, more international and closer to the needs of businesses", says Mario Maggiani, Managing Director of Promaplast.
Role in European machinery markets
Tobias Baur, President of Euromap, the European association of plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers, highlighted the exhibition's role in connecting European suppliers with markets in neighbouring regions.

"At a time of profound transformation for the sector, amid the circular transition and global competition, exhibitions such as Plast are essential for asserting the technological leadership of European industry".
