SI Group marks 75 years at Rotterdam Junction site

SI Group has marked 75 years of manufacturing at its Rotterdam Junction facility in New York. Employees and their families attended an on-site anniversary event that included family activities and remarks from company leaders. The event also recognised the facility's relationship with the local community and the generations of employees who have contributed to its operations.

Established in 1951, the Rotterdam Junction site supplies speciality chemical solutions to customers worldwide. It currently manufactures alkylphenols and phenolic resins used in tyres, adhesives, fuels, lubricants and other industrial products. The facility employs more than 100 people and remains a key manufacturing location in SI Group's global network.

"Celebrating 75 years of operations at Rotterdam Junction is a tremendous milestone," said David Bradley, President and CEO of SI Group. "What is more impressive is the site’s legacy, with many long-tenured employees and multi-generational families continuing to support our business and the community through their work at the site."

Donation to a local food assistance organisation

During the celebration, SI Group announced a charitable donation of USD 7,500 to AMEN Place Soup Kitchen & Food Pantry. The local organisation provides food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Karl and Christine Andrzejczyk accepted the donation on behalf of the organisation.

According to SI Group, the Rotterdam Junction facility has evolved throughout its history in response to changing customer requirements, while maintaining a focus on safety, operational performance and corporate social responsibility. Its workforce includes employees with several decades of service, providing the site with long-standing technical and operational expertise.
