Symas and Maintenance: process safety in practice

2026-10-08

The 17th Symas and Maintenance trade fairs in Krakow will feature dust explosion demonstrations, presentations of explosion protection systems and a conference devoted to industrial safety.

Symas and Maintenance: process safety in practice

The 17th edition of the Symas and Maintenance trade fairs will take place on 14–15 October at Expo Krakow. Industrial process safety will be one of the main topics of the event, including the protection of employees and installations as well as ensuring production continuity. The programme will include demonstration tests of dust explosions and explosion protection systems, presentations of equipment, machinery, systems and technologies in operation, as well as the "360° Safety in Industry" conference. The organisers expect nearly 160 exhibitors from across Europe and the presentation of more than 100 new products. The event combines process technologies used in bulk solids handling with maintenance methods and tools and production optimisation. It is aimed, among others, at plant directors, production and maintenance managers, specialists responsible for the reliability of machinery and industrial installations, and occupational health and safety inspectors.

Industrial process safety

Participants in the "360° Safety in Industry" conference, organised by Akademia Ihas, will learn about current issues concerning industrial safety, employee protection, failure prevention and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

The demonstration section will show explosions involving several types of combustible dust commonly found in production plants. Experts from Grupa Wolff will discuss ways of preventing such incidents and approaches to protecting processes and installations.

A dedicated industrial safety zone will once again form part of the trade fairs. Its exhibitors will present technologies and solutions designed to protect employees and industrial installations. The topics covered will include implementing a "zero accidents" strategy, improvements in risk assessment, hazard monitoring, incident management, and the safety of employees, processes and entire plants.

Technology demonstrations under operating conditions

For the first time at the Symas and Maintenance trade fairs, exhibitors will present their latest technical solutions during live demonstrations organised at their stands. Participants will be able to observe equipment, machinery, systems and technologies in operation rather than only in presentation materials.

The programme on both days will include presentations of bulk solids conveying systems, equipment supporting product marking in dusty zones, machine diagnostic technologies, IT systems supporting maintenance and occupational health and safety teams, as well as equipment for the rapid cleaning of spare parts.

Registration and concurrent event

The trade fairs provide a meeting place for specialists working with bulk solids, maintenance and technical plant equipment. The programme is intended to facilitate business networking, comparisons of machinery solutions and the acquisition of technical knowledge.

Admission to the event is free with prior online registration. One ticket also provides access to the concurrent Fastener Poland trade fair, which is dedicated to the fastener industry. Registration and detailed information are available at www.symas.krakow.pl.
