Watttron appoints Markus Urich as head of sales

Watttron GmbH has appointed Markus Urich as head of sales, strengthening its international sales organisation as the German start-up continues to expand its site in Schwäbisch Hall. In his new role, Urich will be responsible for the company's global sales strategy and the international market expansion of its patented digital heating systems. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the packaging industry, including work in software engineering, project management, sales and business development. Urich began his career in the sector at Optima Packaging Group, where he worked in software engineering and project management before moving into several national and international management positions.

A key stage in his career was his position as international sales director. In this role, Urich managed the internationalisation, scaling and professionalisation of the sales organisation. His responsibilities included establishing global sales structures, entering new markets and pursuing further growth through a customer- and market-focused approach. He previously served as director of new technology, with responsibility for developing new business areas and bringing new technologies to market.

Debut at Pack Expo International

Urich will make his official debut for Watttron at Pack Expo International in Chicago. Together with the company's team, he will present applications of Watttron's digital pixel heating technology and meet international brand owners, packaging manufacturers and technology partners.
