This plastics regranulation line with a feed hopper and a cascade arrangement comprising two extruders is designed to process highly contaminated, printed, foamed and high-moisture post-production materials.
In the configuration designed for feeding regrind, the material is conveyed to the feed hopper by a screw or vacuum feeder. An optional method for feeding densified material after washing is a buffer silo system that automatically delivers it directly to the extruder. The feeder and buffer silo drives are synchronized and controlled by a frequency inverter. The material feed rate is adjusted automatically.
The feed hopper can be equipped with a force-feeding system.
If the input material requires modification, the line can be equipped with the necessary gravimetric or volumetric dosing feeders.
The cascade extruder provides effective homogenization of materials requiring a longer extrusion process and additional degassing.
For heavily printed and moist material, we offer double vacuum degassing with a clean-out port on the first extruder, an additional filtration system installed in the first barrel and standard gravity degassing between the two screws.
We place particular emphasis on filtration screens. During the technical consultation, our experts assess the material type, contamination level and moisture content. Depending on the evaluation of the feedstock, we can offer plate screen changers in various diameters, piston screen changers or increasingly popular self-cleaning screen changers.
The high quality of the materials used for the screws, barrels and other components enables long-term continuous operation.
The lines are equipped with material drying systems. Depending on the material type, we offer a centrifuge or vibrating screen. An additional drying component is a pneumatic material conveying system leading to the buffer silo.
The die type and cutting method are selected according to the material's MFI value and, where fillers are required, their properties. Our machines use water-ring, underwater or air cutting systems.
Our machines feature touch panels with Siemens SMART series software. An installed GSM/Wi-Fi module allows the service team to connect directly to the machine and diagnose problems remotely. In many cases, this enables faults to be resolved quickly and at no additional cost.
The control cabinet is equipped with components from renowned manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, OMRON and Schneider. This ensures easy access to spare parts after the warranty period. High-quality electrical components support the reliable operation of systems protecting the machine against electrical overload, excessive pressure in the plasticizing system and excessive temperature deviations from the set value.
