As a result of the strong growth of its business in the Polish market, SABIC opened its office in Warsaw at the end of 2003. Since then, we have been steadily building lasting relationships with a growing number of customers and have recorded continuous growth in sales of our materials. Our next step, taken at the beginning of 2007, was the opening of a new logistics centre in Kutno, which allowed us to reduce order lead times and ensure on-time deliveries to Polish processors. The success of our customers is the basis of all the company's activities. Working with them means gaining a thorough understanding of their requirements and jointly developing the best possible solutions. We invest in building long-term relationships both with customers and with institutions that influence the development of the plastics market.

On entering the Polish market, SABIC became a leading supplier of polyolefins and engineering plastics. We place strong emphasis on investment in new polymer production technologies, global application development and, above all, on finding environmentally friendly solutions used in various industrial sectors. Our tradition of innovation and our position as a global raw material supplier have earned us the loyalty and respect of our customers. We currently work with more than 200 companies in the plastics industry in Poland. Reliable and punctual deliveries are a priority for our customers, which is why we, as the local SABIC team, pay particular attention to this issue, as well as to building strong, long-term mutual relationships with our customers.

SABIC's offer for customers in Poland is a unique, very broad and diverse portfolio of products and material solutions that meet the requirements of even the most demanding processors. SABIC® LLDPE and SABIC® LDPE grades used for film production are the most popular SABIC polymer products in Poland. In addition, we also supply high-quality polypropylene and high-density polyethylene. SABIC commodity plastics are used as raw materials in the production of a wide range of end products, mainly packaging (such as stretch films and general-purpose films, bottles and containers). Our other plastics are used in the manufacture of pipes, interior furnishing components and automotive parts. Following the acquisition of GE Plastics by SABIC in 2007, our product range expanded to include well-known engineering plastics such as Lexan* polycarbonate and its blends (Cycoloy*, Xylex*), ABS (Cycolac*), ASA (Geloy*), PBT (Valox*), PEI (Ultem*), PPO (Noryl*) and LNP specialty compounds (Faradex*, Lubricomp*, Thermocomp*, etc.). The outstanding mechanical and thermal properties of these materials make them suitable for use in many industries. SABIC plastics are a key raw material for developing innovative products for the automotive, transportation, electronics, fluid engineering, consumer goods, medical equipment and alternative energy sectors.
