Alpla to open second western US plant in North Las Vegas
Alpla will open a 13,000 m² plant in North Las Vegas in spring 2027. The facility will produce plastic bottles by extrusion blow moulding and expand the company's capacity in the western United States.
Alpla is expanding its manufacturing network in the western United States with a new plant in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The 13,000 square metre facility, located within the Craig Road Logistics Center, is scheduled to begin operations in spring 2027. It will manufacture plastic bottles for global and domestic customers using the extrusion blow moulding process. The site will be Alpla's second manufacturing location in the western United States and is intended to bring production closer to key customers. Its location will also provide access to major transport corridors and regional distribution networks, supporting the company's service capabilities and delivery efficiency across the region.
According to Alpla, the additional manufacturing capacity will allow the company to respond more flexibly to changing customer and market requirements. The project forms part of its longer-term expansion plans for North America.
"This investment represents an important step in Alpla's long-term North American growth strategy," said Tasos Pourloukakis, Regional Managing Director of Alpla North America. "Our North Las Vegas operation will strengthen our ability to serve customers while giving us the capacity and flexibility to adapt as their needs and the market evolve."
Capacity for several packaging markets
The North Las Vegas plant will supply customers in the food and beverage, health and beauty, and home care sectors. The facility will also provide additional production capacity for future partnerships.
"We are strengthening our production network in North America as a system provider of high-quality packaging solutions. At the same time, we are deepening our partnership with our customers and offering new employment opportunities to the North Las Vegas community," Pourloukakis added.
Alpla currently operates 19 sites in the United States. The North Las Vegas facility is expected to create 36 jobs locally and expand the company's production infrastructure and capacity in the country.
