Since September, Targi Kielce has communicated its activities under the Expo Kielce brand. The rebranding is intended to support its international operations, while the company’s legal name, registration details, contracts and obligations remain unchanged.

Targi Kielce is introducing the Expo Kielce brand in response to the growing share of international exhibitors, partners and visitors. Around one third of the companies participating in events organised in Kielce come from outside Poland. The new brand was officially presented on 8 September during the opening of the International Defence Industry Exhibition. Since then, it has replaced the previous name in communications, promotional materials and social media channels. Signage at the venue is also being changed gradually. The rebranding concerns how the organisation presents its activities, not its legal identity. The company’s legal name remains Targi Kielce S.A.

The change is primarily intended to facilitate brand communication in the international market. During the latest edition of the International Defence Industry Exhibition, the venue hosted 58 international delegations from 43 countries. Exhibitors from 79 countries included companies from Australia, Japan, Canada, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Companies from Chile, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Mexico, Peru, Taiwan and Vietnam also presented their products and services. At the Przemysłowa Jesień trade fair, the largest groups of international exhibitors came from Türkiye and India.

The venue receives more than 330,000 visitors each year. Expo Kielce develops events covering defence, industry, agriculture, construction, energy and church equipment.

Cooperation with international venues

Expo Kielce concludes agreements with international exhibition venue operators. The latest such agreement was signed with the Czech company ABF, the operator of PVA Expo Praha. The Kielce venue also develops cooperation with international organisations, industry associations and business partners. It is a member of UFI The Global Association of Exhibition Industry, an international association for the exhibition sector.

“Targi Kielce is a brand recognised worldwide, but as a name it is not universal enough for us. ‘Expo’ is. It is a term understood by our international partners, exhibitors and visitors. We are not changing the name because we want to distance ourselves from our history. On the contrary, we want to use the position built up over the years and take the next step in the brand’s development. We wanted to maintain continuity and recognition, which is why the change is evolutionary rather than revolutionary,” says Dr Andrzej Mochoń, President of Expo Kielce.

Expo as the brand, Targi Kielce as the legal name

Targi Kielce S.A. remains the company’s legal name. Its registration details, tax identification number, existing contracts and obligations do not change. Expo Kielce is the brand under which the company will present its activities as an event organiser and the operator of one of Poland’s largest exhibition and congress venues.

This distinction maintains organisational and legal continuity while facilitating communication in the international market. The team, organised events, concluded contracts and formal corporate structure remain unchanged.

Updated visual identity

The visual identity has been updated together with the introduction of the new brand. The logo retains the distinctive red sphere, which has appeared in different versions of the symbol since the company began operating. According to Expo Kielce, the symbol refers to both the international nature of its activities and the ability of events organised in Kielce to attract participants.

For the brand introduction period, the company adopted a temporary slogan: “The trade fair you have visited more than once. The Expo you will return to.” It is intended to indicate brand continuity while reflecting a change in communication.

Rebranding and venue expansion

The brand change coincides with the expansion of the venue’s infrastructure. In summer 2026, a new exhibition hall with an area of 18,500 m² entered into service. The facility was designed for trade fairs and large congresses, as well as business events, shows and concerts.

“In the year when Targi became Expo, we opened a new exhibition space. The expansion responds to the expectations of exhibitors for whom, during our largest events, we could no longer provide sufficient space. At the same time, we are developing international cooperation and proposing new event formats. Expo Kielce is intended to be a brand that reflects this level of ambition,” emphasises Andrzej Mochoń.

The introduction of the Expo Kielce brand does not mean building the organisation from the beginning. The company intends to continue its activities on the basis of Targi Kielce’s existing achievements, while adapting its communication to the international scope of its operations. The new brand opens the next stage in the company’s history of almost 35 years.
