M.Tec Engineering will present methods and digital tools for managing product development complexity at Fakuma 2026. Its exhibit will cover AI-supported optimisation, simulation, material strategies and circular business models.

M.Tec to present engineering solutions at Fakuma 2026

M.Tec Engineering GmbH will demonstrate at Fakuma 2026 how companies can manage increasing system complexity in product development. The company will focus on engineering solutions intended to shorten development times, reduce costs and improve project reliability. The presented scope will range from component optimisation and the AI-powered M.Opt development tool to lighting product development, mechanical integration, resilient material strategies and circular business models. It will also include design for recycling, the targeted use of suitable recycled materials, and strategies related to materials and supply chains that are designed to improve resource efficiency and security of supply. M.Tec applies a systematic development approach that combines plastics technology expertise with methods for analysing and managing complex technical projects.

The company's methodology includes technical system analysis, risk assessment, supply chain management, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and AI-based digital optimisation using M.Opt. According to M.Tec, these capabilities enable its engineers to support customers across different sectors in addressing conflicting objectives, complex requirements and growing pressure to innovate.

Simulation and AI-supported optimisation

M.Tec has operated as an independent engineering partner at its Aachen site for more than 35 years. Its work covers products, processes, materials, circular economy concepts, logistics and packaging. In-house simulation capabilities are used to identify and minimise development risks at an early stage and to support informed technical decisions.

A central element of the Fakuma exhibit will be M.Opt, an AI-powered development tool created by engineers for engineering applications. It is designed to identify robust solutions more quickly when projects involve conflicting development objectives and high levels of complexity. The company associates its use with shorter development times, improved process reliability and more efficient resource use.
