Omya to present global polymer platform at Fakuma 2026

Omya Performance Polymer Distribution will present the development of its global polymer distribution business at Fakuma 2026, taking place from 12 to 16 October in Friedrichshafen, Germany. One year after the platform was launched, the company will outline how it serves customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas, and Asia Pacific through a combination of a harmonized global portfolio, regional expertise and local technical support.

At Hall B5, Booth 510, visitors will be able to meet the company's commercial and technical specialists as well as representatives of selected principal partners. The exhibit will feature Ineos Olefins & Polymers Europe and Chimei, with a focus on partnership models intended to support customers in different markets and application areas. Other represented partners will include Avient, BASF, Celanese, DuPont, EMS-Grivory, Lucite International, LyondellBasell and SK Chemicals. These ten companies reflect the scope of the distributor's portfolio. Globally, Omya Performance Polymer Distribution works with more than 60 polymer producers and principals, while adapting its product range to regional market requirements.

Development of a connected distribution platform

Established in 2025, Omya Performance Polymer Distribution combines Omya's engineered materials distribution activities with Distrupol's polymer distribution business. Its portfolio covers four core material groups: high-performance polymers, engineering polymers, standard polymers, and rubber polymers and additives.

Technologies from Ineos and Chimei

The presentation of Ineos Olefins & Polymers Europe follows the appointment of Omya Performance Polymer Distribution as a major European distribution partner for the producer's polyethylene and polypropylene materials. The range includes specialty polyolefins, Eltex Med medical grades, Recycl-In recycled-content solutions and bio-attributed polyolefins.

Chimei, a global partner of Omya Performance Polymer Distribution, will be represented by a portfolio comprising ABS, polycarbonate, PC/ABS, ASA, SAN and elastomer solutions. The exhibit will also include selected materials from the Ecologue sustainability portfolio.

Together with the participating partners, Omya will present engineering polymers, styrenics, polyolefins, thermoplastic elastomers, rubber and rubber additives, compounds, additives and modifiers, as well as circular and bio-based solutions.
