Genesis Polymers Europe and Velogy to show PP and PE at Fakuma 2026

Genesis Polymers Europe and Velogy will exhibit together for the first time at this year’s Fakuma trade fair in October (Hall B2, Stand 2310). At one stand, they will combine European polyolefin production with local distribution and customer support across Europe.

Both companies share a clearly defined objective: to provide European plastics processors with reliable access to high-quality polypropylenes and polyethylenes, supported by local service and a supply chain based on European production.

Velogy was established in May 2026 after the investment group AEQUITA acquired four production sites previously owned by LyondellBasell. These are the sites in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Tarragona (Spain) and Carrington (United Kingdom). Velogy now manages all four production sites, which employ around 1,700 people, and supplies more than 150 products to customers in over 60 countries worldwide.

Genesis Polymers Europe, part of the Ravago Group , is the distribution platform for Velogy products in most European markets. It combines strong expertise in polypropylene and polyethylene with the Ravago Group’s logistics infrastructure and extensive experience in polymers.

European polyolefin production matters

For Genesis and Velogy, European production is not only a matter of geography.

Recent years have shown how global logistics issues, geopolitical uncertainty and changes in international trade can affect raw material availability. For European processors, a strong production base located close to their plants means greater supply chain resilience, better transparency and higher predictability of deliveries.

Velogy’s four production sites are located close to major European industrial centres, while Genesis provides commercial and technical support directly in local markets.

Genesis believes that customers should be able to plan raw material supplies with confidence and rely on a producer that invests in European production, rather than depending on imported materials subject to the current situation in the global market.

A new PP and PE materials portfolio prepared for the future

At Fakuma, Genesis and Velogy will present Velogy’s new product portfolio structure, based on three product lines:

• KeyForm
  Reliable PP and PE solutions focused on consistent quality, stable availability and high operational reliability.
  
• AdvyForm
  Enhanced-performance materials designed to deliver improved properties, higher production efficiency and greater functionality of end products.
  
• CertyForm
  Products intended for applications where repeatability, process transparency, controlled production and reliable assurance of regulatory compliance are critical.
  

Together, these platforms cover a broad range of applications in packaging, consumer goods, mobility, construction, infrastructure, industrial applications and healthcare.

The portfolio is also being continuously expanded. Velogy is steadily bringing new PP and PE materials to the market, enabling Genesis to offer European processors an increasingly broad product range. The portfolio currently includes more than 150 material grades for 11 industrial sectors.

Particular focus on polymers for healthcare

Healthcare will be one of the main topics at Fakuma.

In medical, diagnostic and pharmaceutical applications, material properties alone are no longer sufficient. Customers also expect stable quality, controlled production, traceability, reliability in regulatory compliance and high-quality documentation support.

The polypropylene and polyethylene grades in the CertyForm line were developed specifically for these applications. Genesis complements Velogy’s production and product expertise through close cooperation with customers at local level. It helps them understand material qualification requirements and provides commercial, technical and regulatory support throughout the process.

At the same time, Velogy continues to develop its portfolio for the healthcare sector, creating further opportunities for customers seeking reliable material solutions produced in Europe.

One connection from producer to customer

The joint Genesis and Velogy stand at Fakuma is intended to present the close cooperation between the two companies.

Visitors will be able to discuss their requirements in one place with both the producer and its specialised distribution partner – from material selection and technical issues, through logistics and availability, to commercial terms.

The aim is to simplify the entire process for customers as much as possible: Velogy provides European production and specialist product expertise, while Genesis is responsible for local presence, logistics and day-to-day customer support.

One strong partnership connecting European production with European processors.

And this is only the beginning

The European production base behind the Velogy brand is expected to continue developing in the future.

In August 2026, SABIC announced that it had signed an agreement to sell its European petrochemicals business to the AEQUITA Group. The transaction includes significant European facilities producing PP, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE and other petrochemical products in Geleen (Netherlands), Gelsenkirchen (Germany), Genk (Belgium) and Teesside (United Kingdom).

Subject to receipt of all required regulatory approvals, completion of the transaction is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.

This acquisition should significantly expand Velogy’s European production base, technological capabilities and product portfolio, and from 2027 create further opportunities for Genesis customers.

For Genesis Polymers Europe, the direction is clear: to continue developing a specialised European distribution company focused on polypropylene and polyethylene, based on strong customer relationships and an increasingly broad European production base.
