Sanner Group appoints Frank Bamberg as COO

Sanner Group, a global healthcare packaging and medical device contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), has appointed Frank Bamberg as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He joined the company on 15 September 2026 and succeeds Heino Lennartz, who had served as interim COO since autumn 2025. Lennartz will now return full-time to his role as Chairman of Sanner Group.

Bamberg brings more than 20 years of international experience in regulated manufacturing. His background covers operational leadership as well as medical devices and combination products across the full product lifecycle, from research and development to commercial manufacturing. His work has focused on building scalable operations and preparing manufacturing organisations for production.

Before joining Sanner Group, Bamberg served as Head of Primary Packaging and Medical Devices Product Care at CSL Behring. He previously held senior positions at Hoffmann-La Roche and Schott in Switzerland and the United States.

Focus on the global production network

In his new role, Bamberg will support the expansion of Sanner Group’s pharmaceutical packaging production and work on manufacturing readiness for the company’s growing medical device CDMO activities.
