Sigma to present Sigmasoft 6.2 at Fakuma 2026

Sigma Engineering will present the new and enhanced Sigmasoft Virtual Molding at this year’s Fakuma trade show. Version 6.2 includes a number of enhancements intended to make virtual molding results more realistic. According to the company, improved efficiency and new calculation models also significantly reduce simulation times. A central element of the presentation will be an interactive format based on the visitor’s own application. Instead of using test geometries, hypothetical tools or videos, the demonstration will focus on a specific challenge brought by the individual visitor. In about half an hour, the simulation model is prepared on the basis of geometry data from a new or existing mold or part, for example from a current customer inquiry, up to the start of the simulation.

During the session, visitors can observe how Sigmasoft automatically meshes the complete mold geometry and creates the simulation model, including the assigned material data. Based on an article or mold geometry, potential manufacturing problems or precise process data for cost calculation can then be determined quickly. The approach is intended to help assess how closely the simulation corresponds to verifiable real-world results, for example in shrinkage and warpage, and to carry out simulated optimizations.

Own mold data used during the demonstration

The company states that the hands-on format is designed to show what current injection molding simulation can mean for specific applications. The demonstration is intended to provide immediate answers for the visitor’s own production or development task, rather than presenting the software only at a theoretical level.

Appointments must be arranged in advance. Ideally, the relevant geometries should also be submitted beforehand as .stp files to ensure that all necessary data is available. Sigma Engineering provides the registration option at company website. The company states that all discussions, data and results will be handled personally and confidentially.
