TER Plastics expands TERmicron capacity in Europe

TER Plastics Distribution is expanding and restructuring production capacity for its TERmicron range at two sites in Poland and Spain. In parallel, the company is broadening and reorganising its portfolio of micronised polymer powders for demanding rotational moulding applications. The revised offering combines a wider range of materials with application expertise and technical support, while its clearer structure is intended to simplify the selection of grades for specific components, properties and processing requirements.

The TERmicron portfolio covers powder materials for tanks and industrial containers, automotive components, agricultural and gardening products, consumer goods and design-oriented parts. Depending on the grade, the materials can meet different requirements concerning flowability, stiffness, impact resistance, UV stabilisation, heat resistance and surface quality. According to the company, the revised structure provides a clearer overview of the available material groups and their applications. This is intended to help product developers and processors identify suitable grades more efficiently on the basis of component requirements, target properties and the intended use.

Materials for complex hollow components

Rotational moulding enables the production of complex plastic components, particularly hollow parts, while offering considerable design freedom. The process can be used for complex geometries, double-wall designs and multilayer structures, as well as components with integrated plastic or metal inserts. It can also support material-efficient production by reducing scrap generation.

TER Plastics Distribution supports customers from the initial assessment of material suitability and grade selection through to series production. Its technical and commercial teams advise on application-specific requirements and the selection of TERmicron grades for different rotational moulding processes.
