Wittmann expands Feedmax Clean for higher throughputs

2026-09-01

Wittmann will present the Feedmax Clean 300 vacuum material loader at Fakuma 2026. The new size is designed for higher material throughputs and integrated dedusting in applications using recycled materials.

Wittmann expands Feedmax Clean for higher throughputs

Dust and other contamination by fine particles can negatively affect dosing in injection molding and reduce the homogeneity of the plastic melt. In unfavorable cases, this may lead to rejected parts. To support consistently high product quality, Wittmann has equipped its Feedmax Clean vacuum material loader with an integrated dedusting system. At Fakuma 2026, held from 12 to 16 October in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the company will present the loader for the first time in its new size 300, intended for handling higher material throughputs. The development is linked to the growing use of recycled materials in applications with higher quality requirements, where the removal of dust and fines is a key factor for stable processing and surface quality of molded parts.

New size for higher material throughput

The new Feedmax Clean 300 is available in two variants with different material transport volumes. According to Wittmann, material throughputs of up to 80 kg/h can be achieved. This doubles the previous maximum throughput of the Feedmax Clean range.

The Feedmax Clean has been developed specifically for requirements associated with the circular economy. Recycled materials often contain a high proportion of dust particles. Thorough dedusting can make it possible to use regrind from different sources in applications with high requirements for the surface quality and functionality of injection molded parts.

When transporting recycling material, the Feedmax Clean achieves high separation rates. During a normal conveying cycle, up to 80% of all particles with diameters below 1000 µm are removed. The undesirable dust particles and fine fractions are continuously extracted from the plastic material during the conveying cycle.

As with all Wittmann material loaders, all parts of the Feedmax Clean that come into contact with material are made of stainless steel, with the exception of the optionally available glass section. The design is intended to simplify cleaning and accelerate product changeovers.

Smart Recycling concept

For a quick start in inline recycling of sprues and scrap parts, Wittmann offers the required equipment components as a coordinated solution. For each specific application, the company selects and coordinates suitable models and sizes of auxiliary equipment, such as the granulator, dryer, blender and Feedmax Clean material loader, to match the material, the application and the conditions on the customer’s production floor.

At some Wittmann subsidiaries, the company’s consulting service may also include granulating and injection molding tests as well as feasibility analyses, if required, with the aim of producing high-quality recyclate with the highest possible efficiency.
