Wosana expands its R&D facilities in Andrychów
Wosana has completed another development phase at its Andrychów plant. The investments covered a new laboratory, expanded R&D facilities and automated pallet transport, supporting aseptic production and improvements in occupational safety and ergonomics.
Wosana has completed another development phase at its plant in Andrychów, Małopolska. The investments covered a new laboratory located next to the production halls, expanded research and development facilities, and the automation of internal logistics. These solutions increase the company's capacity to develop new beverages and manufacture them on a large scale, while also supporting occupational safety and ergonomics. The projects follow the commissioning of a modern aseptic line in the first half of 2025, the modernisation of the mixing facility and the expansion of the high-bay warehouse. The Andrychów plant is thus strengthening its role as Wosana's competence centre for aseptic production and new product development.
Integration of product development and production
The new laboratory and expanded Research & Development facilities provide closer integration between new product development, production and quality control. This allows the company to manage projects from formulation development and technological testing to beverage production in different formats and packaging types, adapted to the requirements of customers in Poland and abroad.
"We are consistently developing Wosana's competence in aseptic production and new product development. Further investments in Andrychów strengthen our technological and R&D facilities, enabling us to support customers more effectively in both large projects for retail chains and customised solutions for partners in Poland and foreign markets. This is an important part of our long-term development strategy," says Andrzej Odzioba, President of Wosana S.A.
Automation of pallet transport
Alongside the development of its production capabilities, Wosana is implementing solutions related to occupational safety and ergonomics. An automatic pallet conveyor system transfers finished products directly from the end of the production lines to the finished goods warehouse. This reduces forklift traffic in production areas.
The new laboratory and expanded R&D facilities are also intended to improve cooperation between the quality, production and product development departments and accelerate the implementation of new projects.
"All three investments were carried out with the people who work at our plant every day in mind. We want the new solutions not only to increase production capacity, but above all to improve safety, ergonomics and working conditions. At the same time, better cooperation between production, the laboratory and the R&D department will allow us to develop new products more efficiently and respond to customer needs. This is a natural continuation of the investments completed last year and another step in the development of the Andrychów plant," says Mirosław Hapka, Director of the Wosana S.A. plant in Andrychów.
Beverage production in PET packaging
The Andrychów plant specialises in the aseptic production of juices and beverages. Its developing technological and R&D facilities are intended to enable a flexible response to the changing needs of business customers.
The manufacturer provides support in the development of new products, from formulation and recipe development to contract filling in almost all PET packaging formats available on the market. The plant's technological capabilities allow formats, packaging and recipes to be adapted to customers' individual requirements.
The individual investments in Andrychów were implemented in stages between June and August 2026. According to the company, this is another stage of a development strategy based on flexibility, innovation, occupational safety and strengthening its position in the beverage market.
