The double rotary plastic melt filter, also known as an automatic self-cleaning filter, is an effective solution for filtering plastics such as PP, PS, PE, PET and ABS. It is designed to improve the quality of final recycling products and finished goods manufactured from them. The filter operates continuously and automatically removes contaminants without the frequent replacement of filter screens typically required by screen changers. The unit offers a high level of automation and can be used with many types of machines after suitable adapters have been installed.

The double rotary plastic melt filter uses two sets of cutting blades, perforated plates and attached metal filter screens. The rotating blades continuously remove contaminants from the filtration surface and discharge them through an outlet valve located at the bottom of the unit.

The filtered plastic melt is conveyed through suitable channels to the pelletizing system. The cutting blades are regulated automatically and controlled according to the measured pressure of the molten plastic in the filtration chamber.

The automatic filtration solution maintains a consistently large filtration area, helping to ensure constant flow pressure and stable material parameters.
