Pencom SHZ threaded inserts for heat and ultrasonic installation, M2-M12

Pencom SHZ (Straight Hole Zerts) threaded inserts for heat or ultrasonic installation in thermoplastics. Suitable for thin-walled housings, injection-moulded parts and 3D-printed parts (FDM).

Range:

- threads: M2, M2.5, M3, M3.5, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12
- several lengths per thread size; for example, M3: 4.00 / 4.32 / 5.00 / 5.21 / 5.74 mm
- versions: without flange (SHZ), with flange (SHZH), with threaded stud (SHZS, SHZHS)
- material: brass, with stainless steel available as an option

Installation hole (straight hole, 1° taper):

- M2: hole diameter 3.20 mm, minimum wall thickness 1.30 mm
- M3: hole diameter 4.00 mm, minimum wall thickness 1.60 mm
- M4: hole diameter 5.60 mm, minimum wall thickness 2.10 mm
- M5: hole diameter 6.40 mm, minimum wall thickness 2.60 mm
- M6: hole diameter 8.00 mm, minimum wall thickness 3.30 mm
Hole depth: at least the insert length + 1 mm.
