Amcor to present skincare packaging at London event

Amcor will present its latest packaging developments for facial skincare brands at London Packaging Week 2026, taking place on 16 and 17 September at ExCel. On stand F72, the company will focus on packaging intended to address current trends in women's facial skincare, including sensory and emotional design, "slow beauty" routines and products associated with personal care time. The portfolio includes new shapes intended to give brands a distinctive visual identity in retail, online channels and image-led social media.

The main product on display will be Magic One, an airless dispenser developed for facial skincare formulations. According to Amcor, its styling was the preferred design in consumer tests. The dispenser was designed around the way consumers handle, apply and experience facial skincare products.

The airless format is intended to protect the contents and help maintain formula integrity and efficacy. Magic One dispenses a precise 0.3 ml dose at any angle, supporting controlled application. Amcor reports a restitution rate of 96%, reducing the amount of formulation left in the pack. This is particularly relevant for premium creams, serums and other high-value products.

The dispenser has a slim, lightweight construction designed for ease of handling. Its lockable pump also supports portable facial skincare formats.

"Facial skincare is a highly personal and experiential category, where packaging plays a central role in how consumers connect with a product," said Lara Alemany, product line director, Amcor Global Rigid Packaging Solutions. "Our latest developments reflect the desire for packaging that feels beautiful in the hand, enhances the moment of application and gives brands a strong platform for identity and differentiation."

Mocha bottles and jars manufactured in the UK

Amcor will also show its new Mocha bottles and jars, manufactured in the UK. The range includes a 50 ml jar and a 100 ml bottle. Their curved formats are intended for the smaller pack sizes commonly selected by facial skincare brands.

The Mocha bottle can be combined with a range of closures and pumps. The format provides a versatile base for creating different packaging configurations and a distinctive silhouette. Amcor also offers customization options and a low minimum order quantity, allowing brands to introduce new packaging in smaller production volumes.

Recyclability and recycled content

The facial skincare packaging developments are designed to support recyclability where suitable collection and recycling systems are available. They also enable the incorporation of post-consumer recycled materials. According to the company, these features can help brands prepare for changing packaging requirements, including the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.

"Beauty brands need packaging that can move with fast-changing consumer trends without losing sight of longer-term sustainability goals," added Lara Alemany. "At London Packaging Week, we will show how Amcor combines consumer insight, design flexibility and responsible packaging considerations to create fresh opportunities for facial skincare brands."
