More than 600 exhibitors are expected to take part in the 31st Plastpol trade fair, held on 18–21 May 2027 at Expo Kielce. The programme will include live demonstrations of machines and production lines, B2B meetings, conferences and industry competitions.

Preparations for the 31st International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing Plastpol are under way. The organisers expect more than 600 exhibitors from different parts of the world, including global companies and larger groups of companies from Scandinavia. From 18 to 21 May 2027, Expo Kielce will present operating injection moulding machines, extruders, industrial robots and complete production lines. For the first time, machines will also be installed in the venue's new hall. The event is expected to attract representatives of many sectors using plastics and rubber, including plastics processing, automotive, packaging production, recycling, construction, medical technology and household appliances.

The previous anniversary edition attracted 660 exhibitors from 36 countries and 15,000 visitors from 41 countries. Several dozen machines and production lines were sold during the fair, while companies reported signed contracts and advanced commercial negotiations. "Trade fairs remain the most human setting for effective business. Machines operating live demonstrate their full capabilities, while at the stands visitors can talk to board representatives, decision-makers, sales staff and technical personnel," says Dr Andrzej Mochoń, President of Expo Kielce.

European contacts and an international exhibition

More companies are joining the group of Plastpol 2027 exhibitors. Representatives of the organising team are also meeting companies at industry events across Europe, including Fakuma in Germany and Plastex in Brno, the myCEPPI conference in Serbia and Plastivent in Poland.

"Our discussions concern not only the form of presentation in Kielce, but also market conditions and participants' expectations, so that the programme and format of the fair can be developed in response to current challenges. We know how important the international dimension is, and we are working to ensure that representatives of further markets join the exhibitors from 36 countries and visitors from 41 countries," says Kamil Perz, Director of Plastpol.

The event's international character is expected to be reflected in the structure of the exhibition. Global companies, leading European market participants and companies from many countries have announced their participation. The organisers anticipate larger groups from Scandinavia, national stands from the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Hungary, as well as presentations by companies from German federal states.

B2B meeting zone

One of the new activities will be a zone dedicated exclusively to B2B meetings. Targeted discussions are intended to make it easier to identify potential partners and start further negotiations. The facility will be available to exhibitors, visitors and industry representatives seeking new suppliers, technologies or customers in different markets.

New hall for heavy machinery and production lines

A significant change at the 31st edition will be the use of Expo Kielce's new infrastructure. The hall, with an area of 18,500 m², a mezzanine and a height of 15 m, has been designed for industrial presentations involving heavy machinery, extensive production lines and demonstrations of manufacturing processes.

The floor load capacity of 100 kN/m² will allow heavy, large-scale installations to be positioned in the hall, while wide access gates are intended to facilitate equipment delivery and installation. According to the organisers, companies are already interested in presenting their equipment in the facility. "The investment also creates new opportunities for us. It allows us to redesign the fair layout, with the exhibition divided into industry sectors," says Kamil Perz.

Industry conferences and competitions

The fair programme will include discussions on sector challenges and knowledge-sharing events. The Plastech Info Technical Seminar and a conference organised by the Plastics Europe Polska Foundation are planned. The second edition of an international event organised with Confindustria Polonia is also being prepared.

The fair will be accompanied by the Omniplast competition, organised jointly with the tworzywa.pl portal. Representatives of exhibitors will once again test their knowledge of plastics processing. Companies will also be able to submit their latest products and solutions for the Gold Medal competition.

"Plastpol is a meeting place for all parts of the value chain: machinery manufacturers, processors, suppliers of raw materials, technologies and services, as well as the scientific community and industry organisations. It is worth being at Expo Kielce in May," says Kamil Perz.

The 31st International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing Plastpol will be held from 18 to 21 May 2027 at Expo Kielce. Further information is available at plastpol.com.
