Maqtec marked 25 years as an Arburg trading partner in Colombia and other Latin American countries on 22 September 2026. Christoph Kiefer, Director of Central Sales at Arburg, and Kadir Cengiz, Manager of Direct & Partner Markets, travelled from the machine manufacturer's German headquarters in Lossburg to Bogotá for the anniversary event, held in the run-up to the Colombiaplast 2026 trade fair. During a ceremony at Maqtec's headquarters, they presented an anniversary certificate to Octavio Guzmán Stokoff, General Manager of Maqtec, and the company's 15-person team. The certificate recognised the long-standing trading partnership between the two companies.

Maqtec has 28 years of experience in the sale and servicing of European and US machinery for the plastics industry in Latin America. For 25 years, the company has served as the exclusive representative of Arburg injection moulding technology in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Panama.

Technical support across Latin American markets

Commenting on the cooperation, Guzmán said: "We offer expert advice and comprehensive technical support across our business areas, including integrated technical solutions. This has so far impressed not only our partner Arburg, but also our customers in the injection moulding sector".

According to Guzmán, the decision to establish the partnership reflected the need to represent a reliable injection moulding machine manufacturer in Colombia and other Latin American markets. The required criteria included a high level of technological expertise and strong technical after-sales service. "We are now reaping the rewards of this decision to establish this long-term and fruitful collaboration", he added.

The partners consider the new electric Trend Allrounder machines suitable for the requirements of the Colombian and wider Latin American markets. According to Maqtec, the range provides a basis for the further development of its cooperation with Arburg in the region. The machine was also presented at Colombiaplast 2026.

Focus on technology, service and cost efficiency

During the anniversary event, Kiefer outlined the companies' shared priorities: "The joint mission of Maqtec and Arburg is to combine high-quality technology, expert on-site service and competitive, cost-effective solutions in order to sustainably develop our position in Colombia and Latin America".

The anniversary highlighted a commercial relationship that has combined the regional sales and service capabilities of Maqtec with Arburg's injection moulding machine portfolio for 25 years.
