Dassault Systèmes publishes first impact report

Dassault Systèmes has published its first impact report, presenting the progress and results of implementing its sustainability strategy in its own operations and among its customers in 2025. The document focuses on three areas: environmental footprint, positive impact, referred to as handprint, and human capital. The report presents measurable effects of actions undertaken by the company internally and in cooperation with customers to mitigate climate change. Particular attention is given to the role of virtual twins in achieving decarbonisation targets, including their use in designing, testing and optimising products, operational processes and business models for the generative economy.

Virtual twins in customer activities

The Dassault Systèmes report includes examples of virtual twin applications by customers from various sectors of the economy. According to the data presented, these solutions support the analysis and optimisation of solutions before implementation, which may translate into lower material consumption, reduced emissions or improved operational efficiency.

Among the examples, the report points to customers from the consumer goods packaging sector who reduced plastic consumption by 18% and increased the use of recycled materials by 76%. The report also mentions a manufacturer that reduced the number of components sent for scrap by 50% and achieved USD 45 million in savings through systematic reuse of parts.

Further examples concern a wind turbine manufacturer that avoided emissions of 7,995 tonnes of carbon dioxide, and a company from the residential construction sector that achieved an A++++ energy rating.

Dassault Systèmes ESG performance

The report also presents Dassault Systèmes’ progress in meeting its own goals and commitments related to environmental and social impact and corporate governance. The company points to a significant improvement in its ESG performance.

  • 50.4% of the company’s suppliers have set science-based emission reduction targets;
  • Dassault Systèmes reduced scope 1 and 2 emissions by 78.3% compared with 2019;
  • 42.9% of revenue is aligned with the EU taxonomy, and 69.9% meets the eligibility criteria;
  • women account for 41.7% of senior management members.

More information on Dassault Systèmes’ sustainability activities and on the company’s purpose, described as harmonising product, nature and life, is available on the company’s website.
