Negri Bossi will exhibit two full-electric injection molding applications at Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen. The demonstrations, prepared with Nissei Plastic, Sytrama and technology partners, target food-grade LSR molding and medical packaging production.

Negri Bossi will take part in Fakuma 2026 together with its parent company Nissei Plastic and the automation company Sytrama, presenting technologies focused on injection molding productivity, process stability and reduced environmental impact. The trade fair is scheduled to be held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from October 12 to 16, 2026. At Hall A3, Stand A3-3103, the group will show two next-generation injection molding machines combined with robotic equipment and complete turnkey applications. According to the information provided, the systems are prepared for smart factory requirements and are designed to optimize molding processes. The presentation will also support Negri Bossi’s position in the German market and will include two demonstration applications for sectors described as high-value-added and highly stable, food and medical.

Food application based on LSR molding

For the food sector, Negri Bossi will present the Nova5e110T H1540 full-electric injection molding machine with a clamping force of 1080 kN. The machine will be equipped with a Sytrama S8 robot and will be used for molding liquid silicone rubber (LSR).

The exhibit will be prepared in collaboration with Ewikon, the German manufacturer of hot and cold runner systems. A 4-cavity mold for food-grade muffins will be used in the demonstration. The manufacturing cell is described as a turnkey solution and integrates a silicone dosing unit supplied by Binks Reinhardt-Technik, a German specialist in dosing equipment with European headquarters in Kierspe, Germany. The cell also includes a Ravizza Packaging bagging machine for automatic packaging of the finished product.

Medical application for single-dose bottles

The second demonstration will focus on medical production, with emphasis on precision, reliability and process control. At the center of this application is the Nova5e220T-H820 full-electric press with a clamping force of 2160 kN. The machine will be equipped with a Petek laminar flow hood and selected for the production of single-dose, reclosable medical bottles.

The containers will be produced with a high-performance multi-cavity mold developed by BDL. The equipment integrates proprietary, patented mechanical technologies from BDL, developed to ensure high-precision centering of both the cores and the molded component. The system also includes surface finishes and structured coatings engineered for demanding production cycles in the medical sector.

The mold architecture is completed by a Mold-Masters SymFill hot runner system configured to provide balanced filling in each cavity. Thermal management and cooling efficiency are handled by a dedicated control unit, a hydraulic circuit monitoring manifold and the Water Flow Monitor system. The mold base is equipped with components from Hasco, described as BDL’s long-standing technology partner.

According to the supplier, the application demonstrates how the integration of mold design, digital process control and system technologies can support manufacturers in meeting quality and regulatory requirements in the global medical industry.

Automation and auxiliary equipment

The medical production cell is completed by the new Sytrama rotary robot. The robot is described as combining efficiency and compactness, with a simple structure engineered for operational reliability and integration into production lines. Its high movement speed is intended to increase productivity and reduce cycle times.

The system is designed for cleanroom applications. Its construction is based mainly on stainless steel and anodized aluminum, while smooth surfaces are intended to limit areas where dust or contaminants could accumulate. The compact footprint is intended to optimize available space and support compact industrial automation without compromising overall performance.

The stand will also include a conveyor belt supplied by MB Conveyors and dehumidification and dosing solutions from Piovan and Eurochiller. Innovo will also be present at the stand, offering hardware and software solutions for plastic molding companies. The company’s products are intended to support manufacturing performance, organization of internal processes and identification of weak points and improvement areas in production organizations.
