Nordmann adds Politem compounds to European portfolio

Nordmann is expanding its engineering plastics portfolio through a partnership with Turkish compound manufacturer Politem. Since September 2026, the chemical distributor has been distributing the manufacturer's compounds in the Benelux countries, Central and Eastern Europe, the DACH region, France and the Nordic countries.

Politem develops and manufactures engineering thermoplastics and recycled compounds for the automotive, electrical and electronics, home appliance, construction and packaging industries. The company specializes in the production and processing of post-industrial recyclates. Based on these materials, it develops customized compounds with different recycled content levels to meet specified technical requirements and sustainability objectives.

Under the agreement, Nordmann offers Politem's entire portfolio in the covered markets. The range includes the RugoPA and RugoPPA polyamide product lines, as well as engineering plastics based on PBT, PET, POM, PP, PC and ABS. Custom blends are also available. The offering comprises standard grades and tailored formulations intended for demanding applications.

Recycled content of up to 100 percent

The cooperation covers compounds made from virgin raw materials as well as grades containing post-industrial and post-consumer recyclates. Depending on the formulation and application requirements, recycled content can reach 100 percent.

Nico Vossers, Business Manager Europe Thermoplastics at Nordmann, said: "Politem is a very dynamic and customer-focused partner. The team acts quickly, thinks in terms of solutions, and brings a wealth of expertise to the table. Particularly exciting is their expertise in the field of recycling, as well as in post-industrial and post-consumer recycled materials. Together, we can offer our customers new opportunities and meet the growing demand for sustainable engineering plastic compounds. In doing so, we cover a broad spectrum of sustainability requirements, from virgin material to compounds with a recycled content of up to 100 percent. That's truly special."

Nüzhet Ezer, Export Manager at Politem, added: "In Nordmann, we've found a partner who understands the technical capabilities of our products and translates them into concrete customer solutions. The combination of a European market presence, customer focus, and application expertise provides the ideal foundation for further expanding our position in Europe."
