Syensqo launches guar polymer for laundry detergents

Syensqo has launched Jaguar Care, a natural, non-microplastic polymer intended to improve the sensorial performance of modern laundry detergents. Based on the company's guar technology, the ingredient is designed to increase the deposition of fragrance oils and capsules on fabrics while providing softness. According to Syensqo, these effects can also be achieved in short and cold wash cycles.

In addition to fragrance and softness delivery, Jaguar Care is intended to protect textile fibers during repeated washing. The company reports that the polymer helps limit pilling, repairs fuzz and supports garment durability over successive wash cycles. The solution combines cleaning-related performance with fabric care functions, allowing formulators to develop 2-in-1 laundry products.
