KVZ Hintermayr boosts recycling with Vecoplan VIZ 1700

KVZ Hintermayr has installed a Vecoplan VIZ 1700 shredder to handle a diverse mix of plastics and align shredding capacity with a new extrusion line. The system targets high availability, low operating costs and energy savings, supported by the HiTorc drive and the VSC digitalisation suite.

TotalEnergies and W&H with a new recyclable oil and lubricant pouch

TotalEnergies and Windmöller & Hölscher developed a recyclable PE/PA pouch for oil and lubricants with 35% mechanically recycled polyethylene. The 170 μm film, produced on Aquarex water-quenching technology, cuts material use by 83% versus a typical 1-liter HDPE container and will debut at K 2025.

Integra Plastics to switch to rPP with Borcycle M in 2025

In October 2025, Integra Plastics in Bulgaria will shift from rLDPE to recycled polypropylene, installing Borealis' Borcycle M mechanical recycling technology. The upgrade targets value-add and premium rPP grades and will lift capacity beyond the current 20,000 metric tons.

Arburg will present the Allrounder 475 V, a 1,000 kN vertical injection moulding machine combining a compact footprint with servo-hydraulic energy savings, in a turnkey IMD cell at K 2025. The exhibit will produce PC/ABS key covers using post-industrial recyclate and digital traceability.

Ineos Styrolution scales recycled polystyrene for Aldi Süd

Ineos Styrolution has introduced sour cream cups with 30% recycled polystyrene in Aldi Süd stores across Germany, developed with Aldi Süd and Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller. In July 2025 the cups were recognised with the German Packaging Award in the “Sustainability: recycled content” category.
