Wittmann adds voice support to AIM4Help
At Fakuma 2026, the Wittmann Group will present a new version of its AIM4Help interactive assistant. The system supporting the operation of injection moulding machines, robots and peripheral equipment will accept written and spoken questions.
AIM4Help is an interactive assistant from the Wittmann Group that answers technical questions concerning the company's injection moulding machines, robots and peripheral equipment. At Fakuma 2026, taking place from 12 to 16 October in Friedrichshafen, the company will present a new version of the system with added voice support.
The solution is intended to serve as the first point of contact when rapid assistance is needed at a plastics processing plant, for example when entering process parameters or programming robot sequences. The chatbot provides product information and guidance on day-to-day processing problems. It also supports diagnostics by identifying possible causes of faults and suggesting ways to resolve them. For new installations, it guides users step by step through the individual work stages.
Written and spoken questions
AIM4Help can be accessed directly from the control system. To obtain support, the machine operator scans a QR code using a mobile phone. Until now, questions had to be entered in writing, while the new version of the chatbot also understands spoken input.
The system is multilingual and responds in the language in which the question was asked. This function may facilitate use of the tool by international production teams.
Knowledge base for Wittmann equipment
AIM4Help is available around the clock, 365 days a year, as a basic source of support. The system draws on technical knowledge accumulated by the Wittmann Group. The artificial intelligence was trained using descriptions, technical documentation, tables and fault analyses developed throughout the company's history. The dataset also includes materials prepared exclusively for AIM4Help. The knowledge base is expanded as products and the system itself are developed further.
Visitors to Fakuma 2026 will be able to test the assistant themselves using their own smartphones. After scanning QR codes available on the control systems of injection moulding machines and robots, they will be able to ask the system a question. Wittmann will present the solution in Hall B1, at Stand 1204.
