Wittmann presents TEMI Next MES at Fakuma 2026
TEMI Next integrates production, energy and quality data in a unified model designed for current and future AI applications. Wittmann will offer the MES platform through a subscription-based Software as a Service model.
Wittmann presented TEMI Next, a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES), at Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The platform is designed to support artificial intelligence applications, map all processes across a production facility and provide reliable key performance indicators based on actual operating conditions. It is also the first Wittmann MES to be offered on a subscription basis. The company presented the system under the motto "Smart Choices, Smart Savings" at its booth in Hall B1.
The quality of the underlying data is critical to the effective use of artificial intelligence in production. For this reason, TEMI Next was developed from the ground up to meet the requirements of current and future AI applications, rather than adding individual AI functions to an existing platform. According to Wittmann, this approach enables the system to deliver KPIs that reflect real operating conditions.
TEMI Next uses a unified model to map injection moulding and other production processes. The previous version could already integrate injection moulding machines from different manufacturers via Euromap interfaces and OPC UA. The new platform supports a significantly wider range of protocols and can also integrate assembly processes, filling and packaging systems, as well as other components from various suppliers.
Integrated energy management
TEMI Next draws on Wittmann's experience in injection moulding and its role as a system supplier. The group's portfolio covers processes ranging from bulk material handling and inline recycling to digitalisation, with solutions developed and manufactured in-house. This process expertise is intended to support both injection moulding companies and users in other industrial sectors.
The platform includes an integrated energy management system. The energy module from the iMAGOxt consumption management software, also developed by the Wittmann Group, forms an integral part of TEMI Next. It enables energy consumption and CO2 emissions to be calculated by machine, part or production lot.
TEMI Next records and evaluates energy consumption together with process and quality data from individual production components. This provides an overview of production costs and enables unit costs to be calculated with a high degree of accuracy.
Connections to enterprise systems
TEMI Next can be integrated into existing enterprise environments and connected to ERP systems such as SAP or Odoo. The platform is designed to support interaction between MES and ERP processes.
The system has a redesigned user interface with role-based views. It displays real-time data without requiring users to refresh the page manually. Clear process guidance is intended to shorten familiarisation time for new employees and people entering production roles from other fields. The platform also supports multiple languages for international teams.
Subscription-based software model
Wittmann is introducing a new business model for TEMI Next. The platform will be offered as Software as a Service through a subscription. Users pay according to the scope of software they use and receive access to the current version. Updates, maintenance and enhancements are managed centrally and made available directly.
The SaaS model eliminates the need for on-site installation and local software maintenance, reducing the workload for internal IT departments. It also allows the platform to be scaled as operating requirements change.
Wittmann will continue to provide full support for TEMI+, the previous version of the system. The company will also offer a migration process for customers that decide to move to TEMI Next.
