WITTMANN granulators turn production waste into valuable raw materials. The new G-Max primus 13 enables efficient inhouse recycling with a low investment

At Fakuma 2026 in mid-October, Wittmann introduced the G-Max primus 13, a new blade granulator designed for particularly cost-efficient inhouse recycling of sprues and rejects. The goal is to turn production waste into a source of raw materials on an even larger scale. According to the company, Primus stands for a clear focus on the essentials without compromising on quality, performance or spare parts availability. With the new G-Max primus 13, the Wittmann Group is once again expanding its Primus product line.

With a motor power of 2.2 kW, the G-Max primus 13 grinds soft to medium-hard parts made of materials such as PP, PE, ABS, PC, PA or PUR. It operates with high efficiency even when the parts are still warm when fed into the granulator. This is made possible by the open rotor design: the airflow between the rotating blades and the rotor axis provides a cooling effect.

The new Primus blade granulator model was developed for recycling applications with a clearly defined range of requirements that do not need any special options. In this application area, the G-Max primus 13 is intended to offer an optimal price-performance ratio.

Mobile use next to injection moulding machines

The granulator is designed for quiet, mobile use in conjunction with injection moulding machines with clamping forces of up to 400 tonnes. At 1,310 mm, the feed height is identical to that of the G-Max 13 models, allowing the new Primus model to integrate with existing recycling equipment.

Like all Wittmann granulators, the G-Max primus 13 supports efficient maintenance and cleaning. The tiltable feed hopper provides unobstructed access from above. No tools are required to change the screen or cutting blades.

The G-Max primus 13 comes as standard with an XXL collection container with a capacity of 13 litres. In most cases, this eliminates the need for an additional container, which would otherwise require extra space.

Primus models across the product range

From bulk material handling to injection moulding machines, temperature control systems, automation and inline recycling, the Wittmann Group offers Primus models across its entire product range. The guiding principle is a focus on the essentials to ensure maximum cost efficiency and reliability in standard applications with clearly defined requirements. The selection of options is deliberately limited to ensure low manufacturing costs and rapid availability. Additional features of all Wittmann Primus products include quick start-up and ease of operation.
