Arburg marks 25 years of partnership with Comtec in Australia
Arburg has been represented in the Australian injection moulding market by its distribution partner Comtec for 25 years. The anniversary was marked at the Fakuma 2026 trade fair with a certificate presented to Comtec Managing Director John Parrington.
Arburg has been represented in the Australian injection moulding market by its trading partner Comtec for 25 years. To mark the silver anniversary, Comtec Managing Director John Parrington was presented with a certificate in recognition of the successful collaboration. The certificate was handed over by Kadir Cengiz, Christoph Kiefer and Andreas Reich from Global Sales at the German headquarters on the occasion of the Fakuma trade fair on 14 October 2026.

In Australia, injection moulding companies can obtain technology from Germany through Comtec, combined with local engineering expertise and after-sales services. John Parrington describes the offer as follows: "We don’t just supply an injection moulding machine – we also deliver automation, material handling and downstream peripherals. We are able to provide customers with complete turnkey solutions and production systems, all planned, installed, commissioned and maintained by our local team of engineers".
Four sites in Australia
Comtec Australia Pty Ltd operates four sites in regions with a plastics processing industry: two in Sydney, one in Melbourne and one in Adelaide. From these locations, the company serves Australian customers with Arburg solutions and services, ensuring short response times.
The collaboration between Arburg and its trading partner began in 1989. The Parrington family took over Comtec in 2001 and has continued to develop the company since then.
Today, 15 employees, including five service technicians and three engineers, are responsible for the planning, implementation, servicing and maintenance of Arburg injection moulding technology in Australia.
