Husky to present PET and packaging systems at Gulfood 2026
At Gulfood Manufacturing 2026, Husky will present PET preform, injection moulding, closure and monitoring solutions for food and beverage packaging. The company says local production can help manufacturers address supply chain uncertainty and material costs.
Husky Technologies will exhibit at Gulfood Manufacturing 2026, taking place on 3–5 November at the Dubai World Trade Center. At Hall 2, Booth B2-4, the company will present integrated PET preform, packaging moulding, closure production and performance monitoring solutions for food and beverage manufacturers in the Middle East. Husky positions local packaging production as a way for producers to manage supply chain uncertainty, operating costs and changing demand for essential products.
"In today’s environment, we recognize that food and beverage manufacturers across the Middle East region are facing supply chain uncertainty, rising operating costs, and pressure to maintain reliable access to essential products," said Wassim Labban, Husky’s Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. "As we connect with brands and producers at Gulfood Manufacturing, we continue to see growing interest in localized packaging production as a practical plan to strengthen supply chain security and reduce risk. Integrated production, resilient performance, and affordable packaging are increasingly interconnected, making local production an important enabler of both business continuity and long-term growth."
Systems for preforms, packaging and closures
Husky will show HyPET 6e and HyPET NX6 PET preform moulding systems. According to the company, the systems support production at different volumes and can be used to make lightweight preforms and bottles, while increasing the capacity to process recycled PET (rPET). Husky also says its lightweighting solutions can reduce resin use by up to 10% while maintaining structural integrity and part quality. Aftermarket programmes are intended to extend tooling life and improve the performance of existing equipment.
For injection-moulded packaging, Husky will present its HyperSync and Hylectric systems. These integrate the machine, hot runner and mould controller to manage the melt stream from injection through cavity filling. The stated applications include thin-wall food packaging, thick-wall containers, pails, buckets and cutlery, as well as processing bio-based resins.
In closure production, the HyCAP PRO system is designed for high-speed, high-precision moulding, while HyCAP 4 supports lightweight and tethered closure applications. Husky will also present Advantage+Elite, a performance monitoring service that combines real-time operating data with support from company specialists. According to Husky, its specialists identify potential issues and contact customers with recommendations and corrective actions before production is disrupted. The service also covers troubleshooting and process optimisation.
Applications in regional food and beverage markets
Husky identifies water, dairy products, carbonated soft drinks, juices, sauces, condiments and edible oils as applications for the packaging technologies on show. The company says its systems can help producers reduce packaging weight, increase rPET content and energy efficiency, and respond to sustainability legislation while meeting performance and safety requirements.
"Whether the priority is reducing material usage, increasing rPET content, optimizing production, or maximizing uptime, regional packaging producers need solutions that work seamlessly together," said Abdallah Kharboutly, Husky's General Manager, MENAT and CA. "By integrating Husky technologies, services, and expertise across the packaging value chain, we help manufacturers strengthen supply chain continuity and resilience in the face of fluctuating material costs and evolving market challenges. This enables our customers to achieve more predictable outcomes, adapt to changing market demands, and strengthen their competitive position."
