Mold-Masters consolidates India operations at Coimbatore site
Mold-Masters has opened a 12,350 m² facility in Coimbatore, bringing its engineering, manufacturing, sales and aftermarket services in India together at one site.
Mold-Masters has consolidated its operations in India into a purpose-built facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The 133,000 ft² (12,350 m²) site replaces three separate locations and provides nearly four times the space used by the company’s previous India operations. It brings engineering, manufacturing, sales and aftermarket services together at one location to serve customers in India and surrounding markets.
The expanded site increases manufacturing and support capacity as plastics processors in the region invest in production efficiency and product quality. Mold-Masters says the consolidation is intended to improve response times and operational efficiency while expanding its manufacturing and service capabilities. It also places teams involved in equipment design, production and customer support at the same site, allowing them to coordinate work across the equipment lifecycle.
"2026 marks almost two decades of our presence in India. Our customers rely on us not only for technology, but also for responsive local support throughout the lifecycle of their equipment," said Hans Hagelstein, Global President, Mold-Masters DME. "This facility brings to life our vision to expand our India operations, and it further strengthens our partnership with customers. The new facility enables us to scale our manufacturing, engineering, and service capabilities while improving the speed and efficiency with which we support customers across the region."
Manufacturing, engineering and service at one site
The Coimbatore facility supports the manufacture of Mold-Masters hot runner systems, temperature controllers and related components. It also serves as a global engineering hub, providing design, computer-aided engineering (CAE) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programming support to the company’s manufacturing operations worldwide.
For customers in the region, the site brings together spare parts support, repairs, cleaning, refurbishment and field service programmes. According to Mold-Masters, locating these services together is intended to reduce equipment downtime and improve access to local technical expertise.
"As our customers face increasing pressure to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and launch products faster, the centralized operation enables Mold-Masters to streamline collaboration between teams involved in project design, manufacturing, service, and customer support," said Swapnil Sankhe, General Manager, Mold-Masters DME India Private Limited.
The facility is located at New Scheme Road, Appanaickenpatti Village, Sulur Taluk, Kannampalayam, Coimbatore – 641402, Tamil Nadu, India. The company’s contact telephone numbers and email addresses remain unchanged.
