Syensqo has received an award from Avio in the raw material supplier category. The recognition was presented during Avio's supplier day on 15 October 2026 at the company's facility in Colleferro, Italy. It highlights Syensqo's role as a strategic supplier supporting Avio's space and defence activities, as well as the companies' long-standing cooperation and their focus on quality, reliability and innovation.

The award follows the announcement in April 2026 of a new long-term supply agreement between Syensqo and Avio. According to the companies, the agreement further reinforces their cooperation in advanced materials intended for demanding aerospace and defence applications.

Syensqo supplies Avio with high-performance ablative materials, resin transfer moulding (RTM) resins and adhesives. These materials are used in space launch programmes, including Vega-C, and in defence applications. Designed to withstand extreme thermal and mechanical stresses, they are applied in critical components such as rocket motor nozzles, exit cones and structural elements.

Contribution of global operations teams

"Receiving this recognition from Avio is a great honor and a testament to the dedication of our teams and the strength of our longstanding partnership. We are proud to contribute our advanced materials expertise to Avio's programs and remain committed to supporting the next generation of space launch systems," said Rodrigo Elizondo, President of Syensqo Composite Materials.

The award also recognises the work of Syensqo's global operations teams in Winona in the USA, Wrexham and Heanor in the UK, and Östringen in Germany. Their expertise and operational contribution support the delivery of high-performance materials used in Avio's programmes.
