Envalior will present its material solutions for data center technology suppliers at Fakuma 2026, taking place from October 12 to 16 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The company's exhibit in Hall B4, stand 4302, will focus on engineering materials for power distribution, connectivity, cooling systems and switchgear. According to Envalior, these solutions are intended to address the higher voltages, thermal loads and reliability requirements associated with AI data centers, while supporting shorter development cycles and reducing scale-up risks and costs. The displayed applications will include Stanyl PA46 for DC arc-quenching components, Xytron PPS for cooling systems, Pocan PBT with a comparative tracking index of 600 for high-voltage busbars and connectors, and ForTii PA4T PPA for power connectors exposed to surface-mount technology reflow processes and for injection-molded switchgear components.

As AI workloads increase power density and operating temperatures, data center infrastructure must manage higher voltages and greater thermal loads without compromising uptime or equipment protection. Envalior identifies connectors, fan components, switchgear and liquid cooling components as elements of the infrastructure's reliability backbone. Its material portfolio is supported by 360 Innovation Services, which provides access to expertise in applications, materials, design and processing.

"The rising demands of data centers call for a new generation of materials offering greater tracking resistance, heat resistance, and dimensional stability at high temperatures. When looking at the impact of changes, such as the shift to 800V DC power infrastructure, the effects across the system mean specialized solutions are required to match the mechanical, thermal, and electrical profile in each case. Elements such as connectors, fan components, and switchgear therefore become a core part of the data center's 'reliability backbone'," says Martin Burg, Advanced Development Expert at Envalior.

Materials for power paths and switchgear

The applications displayed at Fakuma will include connectors for different sections of the power path. Busbar connectors are manufactured using Akulon PA66, Pocan PBT or Xytron PPS. Board-level connectors use TÜV-certified ForTii T11 PPA, while connectors for 800 V DC systems are made from Pocan PBT with CTI 600.

Arc chambers for switchgear are made with Stanyl CR310 PA46. The material is intended to provide arc-quenching performance for DC systems, an increasingly relevant requirement as data centers move toward 800 V DC architectures. Electrical arcs are more difficult to interrupt in DC systems than in AC systems. The grade has a heat deflection temperature, HDT(A), of 290°C, which Envalior states is significantly higher than that of standard PA66.

Switchgear enclosures made from ForTii C11F PA4T PPA provide mechanical properties at high temperatures and can be injection molded. According to the company, this production route can shorten manufacturing processes and support the scaling required by rapid data center construction.

Cooling components based on PPS and PA46

For air-cooling systems, Envalior will show fan blades and housings made with Xytron PPS, selected for heat resistance and dimensional stability. Ultrathin fan stator insulation made from Stanyl PA46 is intended to enable higher torque density and increased cooling performance.

The exhibit will also cover liquid cooling components, ranging from server-level cold plates to rack-level distribution systems. Xytron PPS provides corrosion resistance and very low ion leaching, properties that are important for maintaining coolant conductivity and limiting maintenance requirements. The company also identifies durability, mechanical strength and processability as relevant properties for these applications.

Engineering support from design to production

Envalior's 360 Innovation Services is intended to support customers from initial design through production optimization. The service combines materials science, testing, simulation, application knowledge, computer-aided engineering modeling, AI-powered tools and sustainability consulting. Its stated objective is to help reduce time-to-market while meeting performance, durability and safety requirements.

"The unique material challenges of the data center era require a whole-system approach, taking into account the role that each material and component plays in meeting the overall application needs. Meanwhile, the rapid growth in this space means that production scalability is also a key consideration. Envalior is helping to design components in a way that facilitates rapid and reliable manufacturing. Given the global value chains related to data centers, our specialized material toolkit combined with our localized production and R&D footprint allows customers to achieve the right material properties and supply chain for each component to optimize lifetime reliability," says John Hsieh, Segment Innovation Manager Electronics at Envalior.
